Water Holds Memory

Rivers fascinate me – and they need our help! Each has their own Goddess and stories. So when I was invited to Festival at the Edge, it was the first thing I thought I would like to tell… and in a brilliant moment of timing, at the same time, I met poet and kalimba player, Martin Daws. What a great opportunity to collaborate to evoke the atmosphere, nature, legends, plight and beauty of rivers through storytelling, poetry, song and music.

We’re meeting with the wonderful Alice Moore from Severn Rivers Trust tomorrow, to gather more information on the Wye and Severn, how they are faring, the state of the salmon and how the many species that rely on the rivers are surviving.

We’re planning a couple of days playing, exploring and creating, culminating in a work in progress preview at The Poetry Lab, Bishops Castle on Thursday 18th June – this is your invitation to come along and see what we’re doing!
